A business in Bengaluru has 12 tonnes for Hyderabad, to be picked up that evening or the next morning.

Same pickup city, delivery where the truck wants to go, timing and capacity in order. Each side sees the other at the top of its list, with the reasons, and can ask to connect.

How matching works
Every pair of an open truck and an open load is judged on five things. The points add up to 100, and the total is scaled to 100. The same listings always give the same score.

- A pair is not suggested at all when it cannot work: the load is heavier than the truck carries, the truck is the wrong type, the owner does not carry that kind of goods, the pickup is more than 300 km from the truck, or the truck cannot be there while pickup is open. You are told which.
- Distances are estimates between city centres, not measured routes. There is no live traffic, toll or fuel data.
- The score is a guide to fit. It is not a statement that a trip will be profitable, and it is not a recommendation to deal with anyone.
Your details stay yours
- Listings show a business name and a city. No phone number, email address or exact location.
- A truck's registration number is hidden beyond its first four characters unless its owner chooses to show it.
- Contact details appear only after a request is accepted, to that one person, and only what you agreed to share.
- Only signed-in members can see listings, and requests are limited so the board cannot be scraped or spammed.
What it does not do
- CargoForge is not a transporter or a broker and is not a party to any deal made here.
- It does not verify listings, vehicles, drivers, documents or businesses.
- It does not collect, hold or guarantee freight payments.
- It does not track vehicles or show live locations.

Questions people ask
What does EmptyMiles do?
It is a board where transporters post trucks that will be free and businesses post loads that need a truck. For each of your listings it ranks the listings on the other side that suit it, shows why, and lets you ask the other party to connect.
Is CargoForge the broker or the transporter?
No. CargoForge provides the board and the matching. It does not carry goods, arrange transport, set freight, hold money or take part in any deal. The agreement is between the two parties who connect.
Are the listings verified?
No. Listings are posted by account holders and are not checked by CargoForge. Confirm the vehicle, the goods, the documents and the other party's identity yourself, and never pay an advance to someone you have not verified. You can report a listing, and listings that break the rules are removed.
Who can see my phone number?
Nobody, on the listing. Contact details are shown to one other member at a time, only after a connection request between the two of you has been accepted, and only the details you ticked in your profile and chose on that listing. Until then you deal through the request and, after acceptance, through messages on the site.
How is the match score worked out?
From city-to-city distance estimates, the time windows, the truck's size against the load, the detour and, when both sides gave one, the rate. The parts are weighted and scaled to 100. It is a guide to how well two listings fit. It does not know your diesel, toll or other costs, so it says nothing about whether a trip will be profitable.
Which places are covered?
Matching works between 183 listed Indian cities. If your town is not listed, choose the nearest listed city and put the exact place in the private location box.
What does it cost?
Posting and connecting need a CargoForge account and are not charged for. One account can hold 10 open truck listings and 10 open load listings at a time.
